Best Way to Start Running Without Getting Injured?

I want to start running for my cardio, but I'm worried about getting shin splints or other injuries. What's a good beginner program to follow?

Start out slow! I do 1 mile increments, which was hard at first but it is now getting easier. Just dedicate 10 minutes of your day to running as hard as you can, you should be able to get to a 10 minute mile. Try doing it once a week at first and then twice, then try for every other day. Good Luck!
