What percentage of insects are infected with human parasites?
Hi everyone, I've been thinking about something a bit unusual lately and thought this would be a good place to ask. With all the discussions about environmental health and how interconnected everything is, a question popped into my mind: Does anyone know, or have a general idea, of what percentage of insects might be infected with human parasites? I'm not talking about just any parasite, but specifically those that can affect humans. I know it's a very specific question, and probably varies wildly by region and insect type, but I'm curious from a general health and lifestyle perspective. I guess it stems from just being more aware of the natural world around us and how things can interact, especially when we're outdoors or even just dealing with pests in our homes. Has anyone ever looked into this or have any insights to share? It's a fascinating thought and I'm keen to hear if others have wondered the same or have some knowledge on the topic.
