How do I get swelling out of knee after surgical replacement.
Hello everyone, I'm writing today because I'm looking for advice on how to reduce swelling in my knee after a total knee replacement. I had the surgery about 10 weeks ago and while the pain is manageable with medication, the swelling is persistent and quite concerning. It's affecting my mobility and making it difficult to do even simple daily tasks. My doctor has recommended elevation and ice, prescribed medication and suggested physical therapy. I've been diligently following their instructions, but I haven't seen much improvement. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what strategies helped you manage the swelling. Any suggestions for home remedies, alternative therapies, or additional exercises would be greatly appreciated. I'm also curious to know what a normal recovery timeline looks like in terms of swelling. Is it typical for this to persist for this long? Any insights or shared experiences would be helpful and reassuring. Thank you in advance for your time and support.
