Why are we always doing things that we know we're going to hurt our sleep?
I've been thinking a lot lately about our sleep habits, or rather, our sleep *lack* of habits. It seems like we're constantly battling against ourselves. We know that scrolling on our phones before bed is bad, that caffeine in the afternoon is a recipe for a restless night, and that irregular sleep schedules wreak havoc on our bodies. Yet, we do it anyway. Why is that? I'm curious to hear your experiences. What are some of the things you know are detrimental to your sleep but find yourself doing anyway? Is it stress? Is it habit? Is there a lack of self-awareness or something else entirely? I'm particularly interested in hearing about strategies you've tried to break these self-sabotaging patterns, and whether they've worked. I know I'm not alone in this struggle, and I hope we can learn from each other.
